Application Rules and Procedures
Any first time user can at any time apply for access to the DCSC pool of free HPC resources.
But, apart from new users, DCSC does not accept applications for grants outside of the issued calls, conducted at least once per year via the DCSC web-site and the DCSC information mailing list (I.e. send us a mail, and remember your full contact information, if asking to be on the list). Application deadlines are no less than 60 days from the call is issued.
Applicants must abide by the rules and gridlines stated in the specific call texts. Beneath you may find some general application form and content guidelines.
And you might also want to see our most resent call, which might still be open or possibly already closed.
Applications will be evaluated on the basis of a research quality criteria. I.e. it is the strength of the applying research group (international standing, publications, citations etc.), the research aim and the relevance of applying HPC resources, that counts.

In general it should be noted that applications to DCSC must:
- consist of all, and only, the parts mentioned below, in the given order, with the given titles, and within the given space allocation.
- be submitted individually for each research group.
- be sent to DCSC electronically as one single document (PDF, DOC or ODF format)
- be written in English.

One page is defined as 2.400 keystrokes including spaces. The DCSC Board might approach external international referees when evaluating applications.

Appendix B (Maximum 1 page): Statement of commitment to provide operations:
- A statement from a host DCSC regional operating centre, stipulating that hardware can and will be procured for any granted funds, in accordance with the PI's needs and marked procurement conditions.
